You've thought at least one of these thoughts
during your online business journey...
"I'm taking up space. Other people deserve it more than me."
"I'm being selfish because I want to make money."
"This is too hard. I can't do it. I'm going to fail."
"My new venture scares the crap out of me!"
"I'm being pulled in too many directions!"
"Everyone will think I'm a fraud."
You know what you're doing
You have plenty of experience, both professional and in life. You could talk for days about your niche, and you've got the tools and skills to meet the needs of others and get paid for it.
you know why you're doing it
Your specific skillset and your unique approach to your work is worth far more than any day job could pay you. You crave more time for family, friends, and that trip to Thailand you've always wanted to take.
you know how to do it
You've bought courses. You've listened to podcasts and watched YouTube videos. You've attended webinars and live streams. You have #allthedownloads and your inbox is so full of sales pitches and free 5-day challenges you'd rather not even look at it. The information is at your fingertips, and if not then it's in one of your external hard drives.
sometimes your mind
just gets in your way
Even though you have clients and make some money, you end up feeling like you worked hard and got nowhere at the end of each day.
And your brain told you you're no good approximately 47 billion times.
you need a break.
A blueprint for 1) choosing short- and long-term goals that make sense for where you are with your business or brand, 2) mapping out the steps it will take to achieve those goals, and 3) consistently taking action to turn those goals into realities.
Relationships built within a community of fellow online business owners. You desire true blue connection with other people who understand what it's like to have a business without a storefront and only have your cat to talk to most days. You want to talk to people who won't say "just get over it" or "just get a real job already!"
A healthy dose of encouragement from yours truly for those times when you feel stuck and need some support. You want communication built on empathy, understanding, support, and a mutual desire to learn and grow. (I'm not here to talk at you about what you need to do! #hardpass)
Assistance dealing with the things your mind tells you that keep you stuck, but not in a woo-woo way. You want practical help addressing your thoughts in a compassionate, flexible, and resilient way so you can have them show up and still get sh*t done every day.
Knowledge and insight on what daily, weekly, and monthly tasks line up with your goals. You want to create quality content, promote your business on social media, and craft a customer experience that will delight your audience and keep them coming back (and excitedly giving you their coins). And, you want it all to be meaningful to you and not just doing stuff for the sake of saying you did stuff.
I want those things for you too.
You know your mindset is an important factor in how things go, both in your business and in your life. You can take the first step in developing a great relationship with your mind (and giving yourself a break) right now.
Olivia is spectacular!
"She has such great advice for practicing empathy, and her wisdom and knowledge and intuition are beyond her years."

a bit about me...
That's me right there! I'm a thirty-something with brown skin, huge glasses (usually), and big dreams of someday being an ornery grandma that smells like good food and spearmint candy.
I'm here to help you figure out what your mental roadblocks are and how to move them. You didn't start a business to listen to your mind tell you that you suck at it, and I started my business to help you get out of your head and make the most of your journey (including making some money, honey!)
I'm a Certified Peer Specialist (someone who helps people with mental illnesses set and achieve their life goals). My work has always centered around showing others - whether they have a mental illness or not - how to develop new skills for addressing their challenges, apply what they learn to their current situation, and take action in service of a life they love.
I'm also an Acceptance and Commitment Trainer. I've spent years learning about what struggles people have with the thoughts in their heads, and how to help people move forward with life and business no matter what those thoughts say.
I practice what I preach. I'm not perfect; I have nagging thoughts and limiting beliefs too. I apply my own learning and experience to my own life and I won't challenge you to do something I wouldn't.
mindset is a big deal
In her book, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, Dr. Carol Dweck wrote:
For 20 years, my research has shown that the view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life. It can determine whether you become the person you want to be and whether you accomplish the things you value.
If you've ever heard of Fixed Mindset versus Growth Mindset,
that's Dr. Dweck's research in action. Not that long ago, our
society operated out of the belief that the brain had a set
number of neural pathways and therefore we as humans
had certain capabilities that we couldn't change or add to.
Now, research like Dr. Dweck's is proving that the brain is very
flexible and capable of learning new things and creating and
expanding new pathways. The nerdspeak for this concept is
neuroplasticity, but basically it means that thoughts like
"I'm just not a creative person" aren't objectively true.
my two cents:
- Our ability to be creative depends greatly on our belief that creativity is possible for us.
- Our ability to be compelling writers depends greatly on our belief that have what it takes.
- Our ability to run successful, meaningful businesses depends greatly on our belief that we can do it.
