Remember that blog post I said I had waiting in the wings yesterday?
.
Toward the end of 2017, the universe made it very apparent to me that I needed to shift my focus off of a few things that were going on externally and onto what I could do (internally and outwardly) to improve my own life and business.
.
The planning and work that came from focusing on how to make that shift have resulted in a year-long expedition into transforming my mindset from “I Can’t” to “How Can I?”
.
The expedition began on January 1, 2018 and will run until December 31. I’ll be exploring 6 different common business mindsets and how to shift off what we as business owners cannot control and onto what we can.
.
We will dive into how to make these shifts and how to turn them into real action that leads to purpose and profit (and away from stress and burnout!)
.

Last night I was lamenting the fact that my computer was not letting me be great (aka would NOT load a Zoom chat so I could kiki with @dia.darling) and instead made sounds like an airplane taxiing down the runway...

I was trying to have a Zoom chat with @dia.darling and my laptop decided to act out. I’m sad bc our chats are always lit (like deep belly laughs and tears lit!) but now I know one of my purchase goals for next year is a new computer!

Nothing helps me appreciate cold weather quite like @starbucks coffee, especially on days like today when it's only 28 degrees outside! I guess Missouri finally realized what season it is and is acting accordingly.
.
I hope your Friday is going as well as mine. If you're working, make sure to take a short break today and get outside or catch up on a book you're reading for a bit. Make sure the holiday season includes some rest and self-care!

I love @momentumdash for the amazing quotes they post each day. If you don't have this extension on your Google Chrome, I highly suggest getting it. I always feel a little refreshed when I open a new browser tab and there's a beautiful photo of nature coupled with an invigorating quote that inspires contemplation and self-awareness. .
As we move through the holiday season, I hope the words of Lama Yeshe find a home in your mind. It's easy to get swept up in furious content creation and the urge to crank out things for people to buy. My hope is that you take time to take care of yourself, guard yourself against the kind of stress and strain the holidays can bring, and allow yourself to approach the season with gentleness toward both yourself and those you encounter.
